Where Has the Time Gone?

Where has time gone? Can you believe it is now February? With the new year comes many great changes. I thought I would take a moment to tell you a little bit about what’s going on in my life, and the many exciting changes we have implemented at Elite Dental for 2012. As many of you may know, number two is on the way! Sue and I are excited to welcome a little girl on May 30th. Her name will be Arden. Drew is now over a year old and is so much fun. What a true gift. Sounds like our plan is boy/girl and done.

We are also very excited about the changes here at Elite Dental! So much research is now confirming the importance of having a healthy mouth for whole body health. We have compiled the most recent data to incorporate a Healthy Mouth Baseline. I have enclosed our baseline for each of you to review. Please take a moment to look at this as it will be very important for your whole body health.

In addition, I have made the decision not to increase our fees for 2012. I chose to do this as a way to say thank you for all of your support throughout the years and to help each of you make 2012 a financial success after what we all realize has been a tough few years.

In 2012, Elite Dental will be giving back to those in need by designating an entire day of complimentary care. We are truly excited to help make a difference in the total health of those who otherwise would have no ability to receive care.

Lastly, we would like congratulate our winners of the Florida vacation home week stay and the TV. We are going to continue the contest again this year so good luck.

KOR Whitening

I wanted to take a moment to let each of you know about some of the exciting things that have been happening at Elite Dental. Most recently, I was honored to be selected by area dentists and specialists as one of Columbus’ Top Cosmetic Dentists. The article will be appearing in Columbus Monthly later this year! In addition, the entire Elite Dental team recently received the 2011 CMUS Talk of the Town Award for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction. Congrats Team!

The number one request we hear from our patients is that they want whiter teeth. I am constantly doing research about which whitening system is the most effective with the least amount of sensitivity. Through this research I chose to invest in the KOR whitening system; I can not even begin to tell you how amazing the results are. This is, by far, the best whitening system I have ever used. In the very near future, we will be giving away one KOR whitening to someone through our facebook page. Only those who “like” us on facebook will be able to win. Referral Program 2011

It’s that time again! The entire Elite Dental Team would like to thank each of you for your support of our practice. Your referrals are very much appreciated and we would like to again reward those who refer friends and family. This could easily be you! Last year we gave away a 50″ LED TV. This year, we wanted to make it even better. The patient and or family that send us the most new patients will receive a one week stay in a private 3 bedroom residence at The Hammock Beach Resort Palm Coast, FL. Guests will enjoy access to the beach front resort, golf course and its many relaxing amenities. Flights will not be included in this trip and the minimum new patients required to win is 8. Our second place winner will again be rewarded with a 50″ LED TV. Minimum new patients required is 6.

All of you that have already been sending patients this year, don’t worry, all new patients referred from January 2011 to December 2011 will count. It’s a Boy!

Andrew (Drew) Emil Skasko VI was born 1/4/2011 after about 43 hours of labor. Both Sue and Drew are doing great. Drew weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 21 inches. What an amazing gift!

Myself, Sue and Drew would like to thank everyone for all of your thoughtfulness throughout this wonderful time in our lives. We hope your 2011 is bringing you and your families as much happiness as the gift of life has brought ours.

Happy Holidays from Elite Dental

I wanted to take a moment to wish you and your families a safe and enjoyable Holiday Season and a Happy New Year. It has truly been my pleasure to get to know so many new faces to Elite Dental this year and to continue the relationships we have formed with our many existing patients. Your support for both myself and the entire Elite Dental Team humbles me and makes coming to work each day exciting. To me, this time of year is a great time to reflect on the many things we all have to be thankful for. This year has brought about many outstanding changes which I often reflect upon and would like to share with each of you. Our practice continues to grow more and more each day thanks to your support. We are now considered to be one of the premier dental practices in the Midwest as I have been honored to participate in an educational TV program with Joan Lunden which will air early 2011. Our practice was selected as one of six practices nationwide to participate in this exciting program. In addition, Elite Dental has been very involved with the pleasure of giving back to those that are less fortunate. Recently, I completed a full mouth rehabilitation on a wonderful young woman who had become a victim of domestic violence. She has since married and is beginning to finally live and enjoy life with her great new smile. Being able to help others is one of the main reasons I chose dentistry as my profession. Therefore, this year I have become a part of The James Cancer Hospital as one of the dentists for their head and neck cancer team. This too has been a rewarding experience for me as I help provide care to those who otherwise would not be be able to receive it. You want to talk about a genuine thank you and the amazing feeling you get from truly helping someone in need – wow! I encourage each of you to look to help someone in need. It truly is a feeling we should all seek.

I realize this note is a bit long and for those of you still reading; thank you. On a more personal note; as many of you know, in 2006, I was blessed to meet my soul-mate, Sue. We got married September 5th 2009 in Laguna Beach. Now just over a year later we are expecting our first child. Andrew Emil Skasko (Drew) is due 1/1/11. What an amazing time this has been. Each day my wife impresses me more and more. Her strength during this process has been so amazing. She is my ultimate supporter and is going to be an unbelievable mother. I am so gifted to have her to share all of these milestones. Many of you have either recently brought a child into the world or may be expecting; congrats and/or good luck. I wish you all best and look forward to an amazing 2011.
